CAP Reform—Single Farm Payment Update - August 2004

You should by now have received an information pack from your local Rural Payments Agency. This should include a form for those farmers who would like to apply to amend their reference period where they feel that the 2000-2002 period included one or more abnormal years (eg:FMD)

The pack will also contain a form to be completed where there has been a change in the business during or after the reference period, for example, a change in a farming partnership.

If you have not yet received these forms you should contact your local R.P.A.

If you would like any help or advice in completing these forms please do not hesitate to contact our agricultural manager.

10 month rule - update

Most of you will be aware by now of the latest announcement regarding this 10 month period of occupation required to claim single farm payment. It is up to you to select the most convenient starting date for this 10 month period but it must start between 1st October and 30th April of the year of claim. Failure to select a period will result in a start date of 1st February being automatically allocated.
