After Foot and Mouth my old accountants, a very well known firm of ‘experts’ dealt with the receipt of the compensation monies. But a chance discussion with Andy Neeve at O'Reilly soon made me doubt the advice already given to me. The O'Reilly team re-looked at my case and by using the available rules, and identifying the treatment based on the type of sheep we re-stocked with, reduced my tax bill by just under £20,000.
