Penrith Rugby Club

"In 1996 we sold some land off for development and wanted to use the money for building a new clubhouse; we were fortunate enough to get a lottery grant towards this. Unfortunately the Inland Revenue wanted a slice of this good fortune by taxing a good proportion of the proceeds. O'Reilly disagreed with this view and, through a long process ending up in High Court in March 2002, were successful in saving the club £27,000 in Capital Gains Tax. An eye for detail and common sense started the process and … and logic saw it through.

We have been using O'Reilly since 1983 for our accounting support and guidance including running the monthly payroll and are extremely happy with the accuracy, timeliness and general support given by them and would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone."
