National minimum wage - May 2010

The national minimum wage hourly rates which took effect in October 2009:

  • the rate for workers aged 22 and over is increased from £5.73 to £5.80
  • the rate for 18-21 year olds will rise from £4.77 to £4.83
  • for 16 and 17 year-olds, the rate will go from £3.53 to £3.57
